After a career in finance, James Anson settled down to cooking, gardening and writing – much like Rob in THE LARTON CHRONICLES, albeit lacking dogs, cats, horses and the essential Aga. In retirement in north-west England, James wrote fan-fiction - which came to the attention of an early British publisher in the M/M genre, and was adapted to appear in paperback receiving widespread acclaim. Nowadays James’s writing is confined to witty and idiosyncratic correspondence prized by friends and family the world over, and to creative endeavours for charitable causes. James’s royalties for this book will be directed, as requested, to a charity helping and supporting members of the UK armed forces; a charity chosen among other things for its wholehearted support of same-sex partnerships and marriages.
